Private Carriage Tours of Hylands Park
We are often asked if people can hire a Horse and Carriage privately at Hylands, for a special family event, birthday, romantic treat or even for those with limited mobility who want to see the Estate in all it's glory. Over the years we've worked out a route that takes in some of the best bits of the Park, and have learned a bit of a plotted history and some interesting tales, and so we thought we'd try and share this a little more.
We will take you and your family or friends on a private tour of Hylands Park for approximately 45-60 minutes with one of our Rare-Breed Suffolk Punch or Shire horses in our luxurious 6-8 seater wagon. The carriage sits 6 adults comfortably, or 4 adults and 4 children. On your ride we will tell you as much as we can about the estate, it's history, current use and our horses and their work.
On each date we will offer just 4 tours at 10am, 11.30am, 2pm and 3.30pm. Each tour costs £120 for exclusive use of the carriage, which if you fill the carriage that works out at just £15-20 per person - so why not treat your family or friends to an exclusive trip out that they are sure to remember for a long time! Parking Charges for the day will be included free with your booking - please give Car Registration details where possible on your booking form. These Tours used to run on the Hylands Estate Open Days but we have decided to run Carriage Rides on those days instead. Check out our Hylands Estate Open Day Carriage Rides page for the dates of those.
